Who Else Wants to get More Followers on Pinterest?

You have a profile on Pinterest and you want to expand your impact on the social network. You maintain a blog and you want to make more people find out about it using some nice photos. You are the owner of a website and you want to make it famous. For all these purposes you will definitely need a good Pinterest profile. This means that you need a lot of people to follow you and be aware about everything you do on the net. I have some interesting tips for you! Let’s start with…

1. Create Attracting Boards

You must have a lot of interesting boards on your profile. No matter what kind of business or hobbies you have it’s very important to have boards which can attract all kind of people. Cars, high fashion, nature, cooking, art, tutorials, etc. These are just some of the things that most of us are interested in. Choose a good title for every single board you have. It should be something like “Quotes That Really Inspire”. My observations show that people love to share meaningful quotes to their friends.

2. Pin!

There is a balance between adding no pins at all and overpining. You need to find this balance for yourself. I suggest you pin about 10 amazing pins every single day. The exact amount depends on the number of boards you have on your profile. People have to be reminded about your profile on everyday basis. Show them that your profile is dynamic and they can find something interesting there whenever they take a peek. Repining is not the only way to do it. Try to find new interesting pictures over the Internet. Using your other social network profiles is a very good way to do it.

3. This One is Very Effective!

Give, and it will be given to you (Luke 6:38). Try to follow other people that have interesting pins. You will be surprised by the effect of your kindness. Many people will appreciate your gesture and will follow your board in return. Every day, I try to follow 100 new people. Usually, about 30% of them follow me subsequently. You won’t regret it, if you try out these technique!

4. The Captions of Your Pins are Also Important

It’s true! Forget about captions like: :), “dot”, This’s great!, Nice one!, etc. They don’t give any valuable information neither to your potential followers nor to the search engine of Pinterest. Try to be creative and get straight to the point.

5. Use Only Best Quality Pictures

You just don’t have any chance if you pin low quality pins. This is crucial!

6. Create Tutorials

Let’s imagine for a moment that you are the owner of a big cleaning company. You want to promote your website and your blog. You have decided that Pinterest will be the perfect place to do it. So, using pin tutorials can rally help you. People love to be tutored. You don’t have to teach them how to clean by themselves their entire home. This may be a very bad idea for your business, but if you teach them “How to Organize a Garage Sale” for instance will be superb! Implement your blog posts with some nice pins from your own boards so that everybody on Pinterest can easily reach your blog. You can do this by editing the source of your pins. Place them the URL of your blog.

This is it! If you try these six steps, you will quickly get results for sure! If you know some other good tactics to engage more people on Pinterest, feel free to share it with me!
