No matter how good your life is, you have fears and concerns that nobody knows about. You might forget about them during your busy day, but you can’t hide anything from your mind. According to Wikipedia, the emotions evoked by dreams are negative in 75% of the time. So, I really believe we should all know some basic information about the most common nightmares and their meaning. Anyway, without further ado, let’s start with:
Nightmare #6: Seeing Dead People
Have you ever had a dream in which a dead man is trying to make a contact with you? Don’t be afraid! It’s something completely normal. When you are emotionally involved with people who have left this world recently, it’s very common to try to contact them unconsciously. Your relatives, friends or neighbours. They meant something to you and this is the reason you don’t want to loose them. By the way, it has been scientifically proven that all the faces in our dreams are faces we have actually seen somewhere. Our mind doesn’t have the power to create an unfamiliar face by itself.
Nightmare #5: Walking Around Naked
This is embarrassing, even if it’s only a dream. Most people who have such nightmares are not happy with their appearance. Usually, they don’t like their body and they are ashamed of it.
Nightmare #4: Being Alone
When an important person leaves you, it’s one of the hardest things, even if it’s a dream. Being alone is stressful and most of us are afraid of it. When you are having such a nightmare, most of the time it means that you are feeling insecure about your relationship. Your mind is trying to warn you that a possible problem is arising.
Nightmare #3: Trapped Between The Walls of Your Own Mind
Another common dream that means much more than you have probably thought. This “trap” might suggest that you are claustrophobic. Another interesting explanation is that you are afraid of not being able to cope with your current problems (economic, relationship, etc.).
Nightmare #2: Falling Down
You have achieved something and now you are afraid of losing it. You don’t believe in your own abilities. These are the most common reasons for such a dream.
Nightmare #1: Being Attacked
If you are having such a nightmare, you are definitely afraid of something in the real life. You don’t want to admit it, but there is something or somebody who is causing you such nightmares. In case you have been chased in your dream, it suggests you don’t like confrontations with other people and prefer to live in peace.
Nightmares are something completely natural. They reveal the deepest emotions of your soul. Sometimes, they are so deeply hidden that the only chance of revealing them is by a nightmare!
